Common Troy-Bilt Problems We Fix
Troy-Bilt equipment takes a beating season after season — and eventually, something's going to give. Here's what we see coming through the door most often:
- Won't start — old fuel, bad carburetor, or a fouled plug after sitting all winter
- Carburetor issues — gummed up jets, rough idle, surging, or flooding
- Belt and drive problems — worn, cracked, or broken deck and drive belts
- Blade and spindle issues — dull or bent blades, bad spindle bearings, uneven cut
- Hydrostatic transmission problems — sluggish movement, jerking, or won't drive
- Self-propel failures — worn drive cable, bad drive belt, or transmission slipping
- Tiller tine and gearbox issues — broken tines, slipping belts, or seized gearboxes
- Electrical problems — ignition switch, PTO switch, or safety sensor failures
- Oil leaks — gaskets, seals, and crankcase issues
If your Troy-Bilt is giving you trouble, bring it in. We'll figure it out.
